Pastor Mark Massaro

Pastor Mark Massaro joined First Baptist Church as Senior Pastor in September 2017.

Before coming to Dunkirk, he was associate pastor at First Baptist Church – Princeton, Indiana for ten years, leading the student and children’s ministries, the senior saints ministry, and the biblical counseling ministry. Before that, he was youth pastor (volunteer) at New Life Baptist Church in Lake in the Hills, Illinois. He and his wife, Cindi, also served in church planting with youth and children’s ministry as missionaries with Furbo Baptist Church in Ireland and for many years as youth leaders at First Baptist Church in Hackensack, NJ. He holds a Master of Ministry degree from Cedarville University, an MBA from Rutgers University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Montclair State University. Before God’s call to full-time ministry, Pastor Mark worked in Christian publishing with Regular Baptist Press in Schaumburg, Illinois and in corporate marketing for Sharp Electronics in Mahwah, New Jersey.

Pastor Mark was first licensed to preach the gospel at New Life Baptist Church (IL) in 2006 and ordained at First Baptist Church (IN) in 2013. Cindi loves to help people change and grow spiritually through biblical counseling and teaching God’s Word to women. She is the Principal of Central Christian Academy, a former math teacher, a certified biblical counselor (ACBC), completing a masters degree in Biblical Counseling and serves in many areas of the church. Pastor Mark is also an ACBC certified counselor. His life’s passion is to see people meet Jesus, discipled and grow in their faith in God, become active in ministry and share their faith with others. In addition to spending time with his family, Pastor Mark enjoys reading military fiction, biographies, and history, enjoying the outdoors, disc golfing, kayaking, fishing, shooting and woodworking. Pastor Mark and his wife, Cindi, met in their youth group at FBC, Hackensack, NJ and were married there in June 1991. The Massaros are blessed with four children and two grandsons. Joe lives in southern Indiana; Will is married to Alyssa and living in Ohio with their two boys; Grace is married to Nathan and also living in Ohio; and John, their youngest, graduated from CCA and is living in Ohio too.
