Communications change - The message doesn't

Submitted by Steve Blount on Wed, 01/20/2010 - 11:48am

If there is one thing that is certain in life it is change. That axiom is especially true when it comes to the way we interact with each other. More and more communication technology is taking us away from that personal interaction with people that we are used to and yet provides us with an opportunity to reach more and more people than ever. If you are involved with websites like Facebook, MySpace, or Twitter you have probably realized this. Our potential to easily reach people is now only limited by our willingness to type.

The evolution of communicating has now presented us with the ability to deliver the one thing that never changes: The Gospel Message. While the way that we are able to tell people of Jesus Christ has changed and evolved for thousands of years the content of that message has never changed. We tell people of Jesus Christ, His crucifixion, death, and resurrection three days later. The message never changes.

So as we go about our interactions with people this upcoming year, in whatever form that might take, be sure and tell people, call people, text people, update your status with, or tweet the message of the free gift of salvation that God offers and His unending mercy and love for us.
